While not technically an air purifier, these charcoal bags are a great and inexpensive way to keep your shoes odor–free. They’re incredibly effective, too, trapping odors and moisture inside the bag.
The Moso bags are made from the same material as traditional Japanese incense. The purifying bags are filled with activated bamboo charcoal, which is known for its ability to absorb odors and purify air.
When exposed to air, the charcoal particles expand, trapping odors and moisture inside the bag. The bags were so good at trapping odors that we ended up using them for more than just shoes: we used them to trap odors in our gym bag.
