If you’re willing to pay up, the Levoit H13 is a great-looking, highly effective air purifier that is a bit on the pricey side. Besides being one of the quietest air purifiers we tested, it’s also one of the sleekest, with an understated design that doesn’t shout “I’m an air purifier!” It’s available in black or white.
With the H13, you get a five-stage filtration system, which includes HEPA and four types of activated carbon. There are five-speed settings, with the lowest being almost silent. Additionally, there are two modes: sleep, which runs at the lowest speed, and auto, which changes speed based on how much pollution is detected.
During our tests, this purifier trapped 98.1% of the PM 2.5 particles in its range, masking any traces of smoke and pet odors. In an hour, it was able to reduce our testing room’s overall odor by 36%, and after three hours, it was able to reduce it by 70%.
