LEVOIT H128 Air Purifier

LEVOIT H128 Air Purifier

Levoit’s LV-H128 Air Purifier comes with three preinstalled filters and two aroma pads. The single toggle button cycles through three modes: allergen, sleep, and normal.

In terms of removing pet dander, we found the allergen mode to be pretty average. The sleep mode is very quiet, but it didn’t help with our sinus issues or make the room smell better. There is a good balance between quietness and effectiveness in normal mode, especially for those who don’t want to switch modes constantly.

It has an easy-to-use control panel that displays the current mode (allergen, sleep, or normal), fan speed, and timer. It’s best used in rooms where the lights can be left off at night because the display lights up at night. Generally speaking, we prefer more expensive models with more filters when it comes to purifiers that only target one type of pollutant (such as pet dander). The Levoit LV-H128 is a good option if you want something that’s easier to use than most purifiers.

Core 300 is a lot more powerful, has timer, more modes, mare air changes per hour. I am waiting for tests for the h128. I have used it for a few days but the filters show no dust, they look new. It is a nice little unit, but the Core 300 has a more proven track record. 3 or 4 times the CADR, but the 300 uses a lot more electricity than the 128 (55W vs. 9-10W)

So I use mine 24/7 in my garage, which I know is more than prescribed by the manufacturer. I have found that if I take the filters out every 2 weeks or so, that the can be cleaned extremely well with a shop vac. I’m going to replace them every six months just to make sure that the material doesn’t start to breakdown. I wold avoid getting the wet, to clean and stick to the vaccum. Hope this helps.
